Did you know that hand washing can prevent you from contracting diseases? But then how many of us do the right thing. How many of us wash our hands properly
We do a lot of things with our hands ranging from :
- Scratching the scalp of our heads which have dandruffs especially in women
- Opening the acne or boil on our face which has pus in it
- Picking or blowing our nose
- Rubbing our eyes to remove the discharge
- Cleaning our ears with our hands or fingers to remove the ear wax that is on the exterior
- Cleaning the sweat off our face with our bare hands
- Scratching our sweaty arm pits
- Scratching our pubic areas
- Wiping our anal region after defecating
- Picking things from the floor
- Cleaning dusty surfaces with our bare hands
- Disposing the trash bins or other dirty stuffs with their hands and a whole lot more
When we go to the open market we are fond of using that same hands that we used to shake and hug people to taste groundnut, fruits, 'garri' and all sorts in the market.
I advice that before you eat always wash your hands with hand wash and running water. If you are in an area where you cant get water and hand wash you can use hand sanitizers. There are pocket friendly hand sanitizers you can carry around.
Ideal ways to wash our hands are as follows
- Automated hand wash dispensers are ideal especially in public places. This prevents people from touching their unwashed dirty hands on it and then leaving germs on the surface for the next person who comes to wash his or her hands to pick up the germs left on the surface.
- Automated taps that opens once it detects your hands are close are also ideal. It also reduces the germs left on the surface by dirty hands
- Hand driers are also the best
- Doors that swing should be put in place so that you don't use the washed hands to open the door knobs there by picking up germs left on the surface by people coming into the area. You can use your elbows to open such doors.
- In the absence of the above you can use your hands to open the tap after dispensing the hand wash and then after washing your hands don't turn off the water . Clean your hands with the paper towel and then use the paper towel to turn off the tap and then dispose the paper just the way you held it to turn off the tap to avoid coming in contact with it again
Remember that prevention is better than cure .
Thanks for visiting.
There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment?s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
